
Congratulations to the following Hough students who will receive awards for their entries in the 2015 William A. Hough High School National PTA Reflections Program.
- Best in Show (Gold) – Congratulations to Ashley Mills for her Visual Arts entry “Halcyon” winning a Gold award and Best in Show. She will receive a certificate and $30.
- Gold Award – Congratulations to Courtney Frey, Jakob Heiser, Kara Bringewatt, Tilly Boraks and Mary Bernardo for receiving a Gold Award. They will each receive a certificate and $20.
- Silver Award – Congratulations to Emma Cowen, Farrah Jordan, Alexis Gold and Jay Satchwill for receiving a Silver Award. They will each receive a certificate and $10.
- Bronze Award – Congratulations to Kara Bringewatt, Savannah Cooper, Jakob Heiser (2) and Kayleigh Conroy for receiving Bronze Awards. They will each receive a certificate.
All Gold and Silver awards entries have proceeded to the Mecklenburg PTA level of competition. County level winners will be announced in late January.

Judges were Lori Helms (Assistant Editor of Lake Norman Citizen), Jennifer Chaffman (Media/AV Broadcast Production teacher at Community School of Davidson) and Case Warnemunde (founder of the Cornelius based organization Bella Love, whose mission is to promote live entertainment and arts in the Greater Charlotte area).
