Photos from around downtown, after snow fell overnight. The snow turned to freezing rain and sleet and officials say conditions could get worse. They’re advising folks to stay off the roads unless it’s an emergency.

Schools and many government offices are closed. And American Airlines canceled all its flights today at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
