As my girls and I strolled on the beach at Saint-Malo, France, one night in June, we cast a long shadow. And I suddenly recalled a photo I’d taken of the three of us 10 years earlier, while walking home from school in Taipei, Taiwan. Had to snap the photo again! As my grandmother Mathilde Morin used to say: “Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.”
