Davidson Police have distributed a couple of security camera photos showing a suspect in Monday afternoon’s attempted robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank in downtown Davidson. They’re asking for help in identifying the man, who remains at large.

Police were called to the branch, at 112 S. Main St., at 2:33pm, on Monday. The suspect threatened the teller, was startled, and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Nobody was hurt and the man left before getting any cash.

Police issued a description of the man: a black male, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing a black coat and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Vernon Siders at vsiders@townofdavidson.org, Officer Jay Stokes at jstokes@townofdavidson.org, or call the Davidson Police Department at 704-892-5131.
