It’s an arts weekend in Davidson

April is for ‪#‎Arts‬ in Davidson. Joyce Wynes is showing her paintings (including those above) all month atTown of Davidson, NC — Town Hall . She’ll be there during this Friday’s gallery crawl, 6-9pm. Stop by and see her.

Wynes describes her work as “bright, bold, colorful, flat, and semi-abstract to abstract.” She says she loves patterns and colors, influenced by her childhood experiences using a sewing machine. It’s all for sale, as is lots of work by other artists during the crawl. More at http://joycewynes.com/

Friday night’s gallery crawl is one of several events this weekend in downtown Davidson.

Friday also includes a ‪#‎publicart‬ sculpture tour, led by Davidson College art history prof Shaw Smith and co-hosted by Davidson Learns, the local lifelong learning program. It begins at 7pm at Town Hall, with a talk by Davidson College art professor Shaw Smith. It includes a trolley ride to the Davidson College campus for a look at the college’s public art sculptures.

Saturday & Sunday, it’s Art on the Green, with several dozen artists and craftspeople, live music and more.

And Sunday night, there’s a Concert on he Green with Davidson College Jazz Ensemble.
