Author Tom Cotter of Davidson is writing another book about cars – this time about a cross-country trip in a Model T Ford. Cotter leaves Sunday, May 7, 2017, from the start of the old Lincoln Highway in New York City.
Along with him are the car’s owner – Dave Coleman – and photographer Michael Alan Ross, who has shot many of Tom’s automotive books.
The Lincoln Highway dates from 1913, and stretches from New York to San Francisco. It’s not an interstate, which is good since the Model T tops out at 45 mph. The trip will take a couple of weeks.
